1. Open Access Policy
Free and Unrestricted Access
All research articles published in Global Humanities Review are made immediately available free of charge upon publication. Readers worldwide can access, download, share, and cite published works without any subscription or registration requirements. There are no paywalls or access restrictions, ensuring that research remains globally accessible to scholars, educators, and the general public alike.
Peer-Reviewed Scholarship
Every submission undergoes a rigorous double-masked peer review process to ensure academic excellence, originality, and integrity. Open access does not compromise quality; it strengthens transparency, accountability, and scholarly credibility.
2. Funding and Publication Model
Global Humanities Review follows a sustainable open-access publishing model. The journal is freely available to readers, with Article Processing Charges (APCs) collected only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. These charges cover the costs of editorial review, formatting, DOI registration, digital archiving, and long-term open-access hosting.
Authors are not required to pay any submission fees, and the APC policy ensures continued global accessibility without compromising quality or integrity. Institutions and funding agencies that support open access are encouraged to assist authors in meeting APC requirements.
3. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain full copyright over their published works. All articles in Global Humanities Review are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original author and source are properly credited.
This licensing model ensures that intellectual ownership remains with the author while allowing the widest possible dissemination and reuse of published research.
4. Long-Term Preservation and Accessibility
To ensure the permanent availability and global visibility of published content, Global Humanities Review maintains robust digital archiving and indexing practices.
All published articles are securely preserved in recognized digital repositories, such as Zenodo and LOCKS, ensuring continued accessibility even in the event of changes to the website or platform. The journal’s content will also be indexed in Google Scholar, ResearchBib, and other major databases, enhancing citation reach and scholarly impact.
5. Ethical and Transparency Standards
Global Humanities Review adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All editorial decisions and publication processes are guided by transparency, fairness, and respect for intellectual property.
The open-access policy aligns with the journal’s broader mission to promote academic inclusivity, global dialogue, and interdisciplinary research exchange across the humanities and related disciplines.
